Amy and her husband Mellow (aka John) have been married for almost 24 years. Both are retired from the Air Force and are now living in Mississippi.  They have 5 grown sons and eleven awesome grandchildren.  When hurricane Katrina struck, it changed their lives – and their priorities.  Amy decided to leave her job of dealing blackjack at a local casino to work at her church.  Her priority and passion now is serving God. After attending Bible studies elsewhere, she decided to start Catholic Scripture Study classes at her own parish.  Now, in addition to being a CSS Study Leader, Amy is coordinator of the RCIA program and involved with many other adult formation programs in her community, while at the same time working on her Masters degree in Pastoral Ministry.

Herman Gomes, who embraced the project and gave it his full support.  The program at St. Ann’s Kaneohe, is still going strong. Trudy is involved in other parish ministries including Baptism Preparation, RCIA, and has recently taken on the additional task of Adult faith Formation Leader. The Word of God is the source and center of all and finding CSS has been one of God’s greatest gifts and blessings to Trudy personally and to those who have been able to participate in these studies.
