Our Mission Statement:

To bring people closer to Jesus Christ and His Church through in-depth Scripture study.

Gail Buckley, Founder and President of CSS, converted to the Catholic faith in 1994. While she felt very blessed that the Lord had called her home to the Catholic Church, she was also painfully aware that many had not yet found this "pearl of great price." She was even more alarmed by how many Catholics fail to recognize the treasure that is their Church and often become involved in Bible studies outside of Catholicism. Having participated in a well-known non-denominational program herself, she understood the attraction of studies conducted in an inviting atmosphere of fellowship. Despite that, Gail knew that the fullness of Truth could not be found outside the Catholic Church.

Gail's efforts have already helped change thousands of lives worldwide. The key to this growth is the contagious power of God's Word coupled with the willing spirit of those who work together for His kingdom. With the time, talent, and cooperation of dedicated volunteers all sharing a common love of Christ and His Church, Gail has been able to direct that shared enthusiasm to fulfill the mission of the CSS Program. Working with faithfully Catholic authors, priests, and editors to produce user-friendly materials, ongoing one-on-one support, and comprehensive online resources, the CSS Program staff and volunteer team continue to strive toward a vision of a world full of Catholics who know and love their faith.

While Gail is excited by the positive impact brought about through participation in the CSS Program, the full extent of that impact on individual lives will never be known. However, one evident and gratifying fruit of the CSS Program is the growth and renewed sense of fellowship felt in parishes around the world as a result of studying Sacred Scripture within the community of believers.
